2016 Motoring Challenge… It’s a TIE!!!

I read this twice. It wasn’t that I didn’t understand what I read the first time through. Nope. Two different people wrote the same sentence to me. I couldn’t be happier announcing a two-way tie for 1st place. What a Challenge 2016 turned out to be! …And I don’t think Mr. McGuire or Team “Sassy Cathy” will mind splitting up the spoils of both 1st and 2nd prize! Congratulations to our grand prize winners!

Mr. McGuire our “Gentleman Challenger” surprised us by saying goodbye, moving to London, and then quietly slipping back to North America to take a few weeks to drive the wheels off his Miata. Team Sassy Cathy, made up of Scott and Nancy Gilbert, are no strangers to epic adventures, and in 2016 at the age of 64-years-old their MGTD returned to Alaska for the third time in its fun-filled life. And in a very close third place, 2015 Challenge Champion Charlie Walter completes another fantastic year of amazing road trips. All our winners brought smiles to our faces with their photos and especially with their spirit. Thank you!
