Practical hints for the maintenance of the Triumph TR3

Triumph vehicles are so designed that a minimum of attention is required to keep them in satisfactory running order. There are, however, certain maintenance operations which must be undertaken regularly. The object of this instruction book is to assist the owner to understand the various operations required, and so ensure that the vehicle receives regular and correct attention. If in doubt about the vehicle’s performance the owner should at once consult a Triumph dealer, preferably the one from whom the car was purchased. Triumph dealers are very carefully selected and are suitably equipped to give satisfactory and expert after-sales service. There is a Training organisation at the factory at which our dealers’ representatives acquire a first hand knowledge of up-to-date service procedure. Valuable information is given regarding special technique and equipment which ensures that all maintenance operations are carried out economically.

      Hi Hans,

I have been in contact with Dr Rob and he gave me your email
address. I hope I have it right. It has been a long time since we
played with the Cook temperature based pacemaker at Rotterdam but I
am pretty much the same old guy! A bit older and a bit
heavier! Today I was looking at this ad from Moss Motors and I saw
your name asking about the maintenance manual for a Triumph TR3. Do
you have a TR3? Maybe this is a different Hans but I am hoping it is
you! I have a 1959 Triumph TR3a and I love it. I had one back in
1959 that I bought new! Wish I still had it but at least I have one
again. They are so much fun to drive. If you want to see my TR’s
have a look at the following”

      TR3a

I am the old guy in the top corner and the white one is the one I
bought in ’59 – the black one is the one I have now. The picture
with 2 of us is my son and I.

      My very best regards,
      Bill Johnson…
