There are some people that spend their retirement doing yard work or reading quietly in a favorite chair. After 30 years as an engineer, James King decided to try and turn his hobby into a business with more success than most have in their regular careers. King Triumphs made its reputation performing TR6 restorations and there are always a few hanging about the premises.
Although his specialty is Triumph repairs and restorations, the small shop in Corning, New York does work on almost any variety of British sports cars and while he often has a waiting list of customers the work is worth the delay. While some garages specialize in concours restorations, James admit that he favors daily drivers and restores his cars to a standard that can be enjoyed and driven by their owners.
Working out of an old Atlantic gas station and local grocery store, there is enough space to keep several projects going at the same time and James is always open to friends and customers stopping by for a chat or a cup of coffee. Feel free to check out James and his work at his website or just stop by for a visit.
